Description Position Title: Program Coordinator (Part-Time) Reports To: Designated Program Coordinator Category/FLSA Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt Supervises: None Pay Rate: $20/hour ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION: The YouthVantage Alliance was created to empower children and teens to discover their full potential. Building upon nearly 50 years of success, the YouthVantage Alliance is home to the organizations you've known and trusted – Girls Inc. of Tarrant County, Tarrant County Kids, and introducing Vantage Point. Position Summary: The Part-Time Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, facilitating, and administering Girls Inc. literacy programs focused on social-emotional learning, resiliency, growth mindset, confidence, wellness, leadership development, media literacy, STEM exposure, and college/career planning. This position will serve girls through a designated Fort Worth ISD (FWISD) campus , facilitating in-school program sessions and building positive relationships with students, school staff, and families. Each session will include approximately 15-20 girls and will focus on delivering engaging, evidence-based curriculum aligned with Girls Inc. programming goals. The Program Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between Girls Inc. and the assigned school, integrating into the school culture and supporting positive youth development outcomes. This is a part-time position serving Washington Heights Elementary School on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:40 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. during the school year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Recruitment and Delivery
- Deliver agency-approved programs, including social-emotional learning, media literacy, and career planning.
- Collaborate with STEM, Workforce, and College teams to provide girls with additional programming opportunities.
- Assist in developing lesson plans using organizational resources to ensure program effectiveness.
- Serve as the liaison between students, families, and school staff, fostering consistent communication and program integration.
- Support recruitment and retention efforts by generating community interest.
- Periodically meet with parents to explain program goals, discuss student progress, and encourage family involvement. Data Collection and Reporting
- Collect and manage attendance, impact data, and program outcomes to meet grant and contract requirements.
- Collect, track, and submit all required documentation and reports for program participants and activities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor program outcomes and assess program effectiveness through periodic evaluations, pre- and post-tests, and surveys to measure outcomes. Volunteer and Intern Engagement
- Oversee and support volunteers and student workers, ensuring they are equipped to assist in program delivery.
- Provide feedback and recognition to volunteers and student workers to encourage ongoing involvement. Related Agency Activities
- Regularly assess personal performance and set professional goals.
- Attend staff meetings and required agency trainings as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to meet program goals and engage the community in offering Girls Inc. programs.
- Participate in all required reporting and deadlines at the organizational level, including those related to expense management, mileage, and grant requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Some college in any field; education preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience in youth programs, lesson planning, facilitation skills, and building relationships with students, families, and schools.
- Strong emotional intelligence with a passion for working with diverse groups.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with program participants, parents/guardians, and professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant technology tools (Google Docs, data entry software, Canva, Adobe, etc.).
- Possess reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver's license, and a clear driving record.
- Ability to drive a company van safely and responsibly.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to effectively communicate with program participants, families, and community partners. Requirements
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position requires the ability to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment, and the physical ability to perform light lifting. Work is typically performed in a classroom, school, office, or community setting and may involve standing, stooping, bending, and walking. However, the agency will make accommodations when necessary. This person may be required to travel to various locations throughout Tarrant County. Generally, the working conditions have little or no exposure to extremes in safety hazards or hazardous materials.
