Summary This position serves as a Budget Analyst, located in the U.S. Department of National Fraud Enforcement Division (FRD)located in Washington, DC. Direct-Hire Authority (DHA) is a hiring authority granted by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to address critical hiring needs or severe candidate shortages. Duties The primary purpose of this position is receive and interpret the call for the budget, formulate budget data and ensure adequate funds for program coverage, consolidate and validate input from subordinate levels for the presentation of the budget, and serve as an advisor to management in the various organizations within the Finance Staff. The duties and responsibilities for a GS-0560-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Conducting year-end closing activities for reconciliation. Maintaining complex databases for accounting and tracking purposes. Tracking expenditures to ensure fund availability. Qualifications To qualify for the position of Budget Analyst, at GS-0560-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing financial recommendations to organization leaders to support financial decisions in accordance with budget policies and regulations; and monitoring the use of funds to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
