Summary You will serve as a

Supervisory Financial Management Analyst

in

The Department of Navy

of

Naval Academy.

Duties

  • You will implement financial management concepts, methodologies, policies, and strategies to support organizational programs.
  • You will mentor others on financial management regulations and government accounting principles.
  • You will analyze and evaluate financial data for program resources using the Department of Defense (DoD) Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) system.
  • You will reconcile accounts and accounting data to prepare and analyze reports.
  • You will explain financial laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to managers, personnel, or customers. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising on work in all phases of the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System; 2) Analyzing costs and benefits of alternate methods of financial management of an organization's programs and administrative operations; 3) Developing formal systems for planning, formulation, reviewing, and execution the allocation of all funds for the command; and 4) Monitoring budget execution of assigned appropriations and investigate/find the cause of any significant variance.
