This is an opportunity to grow in a team that values ownership, direct communication and development. Your role:

  • Work under limited supervision to execute DfX analyses to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, value, and risk.
  • Lead early supplier innovation activities and integrate manufacturing capabilities and technology inputs into product concepts.
  • Partner with Engineering to embed supplier-driven innovations and influence design specifications for optimal cost, quality, and robustness.
  • Develop component simplification, standardization, and platforming strategies across the portfolio.
  • Ensure supplier readiness and capacity for prototype, pilot, and product ramp-up phases.
  • Build and maintain Product Cost Roadmaps using production data, cost models, competitive benchmarks, and market data for data-driven cost optimization.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and market trends to identify cost-reduction and value-creation opportunities.
  • Lead cost engineering, risk reduction, and quality improvement initiatives that influence product performance and sourcing strategy.
  • Execute procurement project plans, manage risks, and track progress through KPIs, dashboards, structured reporting, and insights for senior management and project teams.
  • Drive strategic sourcing processes, including early supplier involvement, qualification, and selection against technical specifications and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality systems (e.g., ISO), and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to align on procurement and product/program deliverables. You're the right fit if:
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, supplier engagement, DfX, NPI, cost engineering, project management, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
  • You have strong technical affinity and are comfortable engaging with Engineering and R&D stakeholders; deep technical expertise is not required.
  • You bring strong analytical and financial thinking, with the ability to develop and communicate business cases and quantify value.
  • You can translate technical and commercial insights into productivity, cost-reduction, value-engineering, or process-improvement opportunities.
  • You are confident challenging assumptions and influencing cross-functional stakeholders with facts, data, and well-supported recommendations.
  • You demonstrate learning agility, curiosity, ownership, and the motivation to grow within a procurement engineering environment.
  • You communicate openly, directly, and transparently and work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional setting.
  • You are comfortable working from the Best office at least three days per week. Compensation & Benefits Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is € 61,185.00 – € 101,976.00.
