Job Posting: JR102204 Assessment Coordinator (Open) Department: Univ Analysis, Reporting & Assessment Ofc, PM Position Type: Regular Open Date: 09-25-2026 Close Date: $64,000 - $75,000 Job Description: Job Summary This position exists to assist in the University’s effort to collect data used to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives/programs/units. Additionally, the Assessment Coordinator will assess progress towards accomplishing strategic plan goals, improving assessment efforts in General Education and academic majors, training faculty and staff on assessment and evaluation methods, assessing the effectiveness of student retention and engagement initiatives, communicating assessment results, providing support and recommendations for using assessment results for institutional improvement. Additionally, the position will assist with the assessment and evaluation needs of the campus to include: •Analyzing a variety of data sets and sources to respond to internal and external requests

  • Addressing accreditation suggestions and revisions;
  • Assisting with the development, interpretation and implementation of curriculum-related policies and approval processes;
  • Assessment of General Education curriculum and outcomes, including the analysis of data, summarizing results, and providing recommendations for institutional improvement;
  • Assisting departments with their program and curriculum approval processes and or major-level assessments;
  • Periodically assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of our academic programs;
  • Participation in external assessment and accountability initiatives;
  • Developing assessment plans, analyzing data, and evaluating the success of student success, engagement, and retention initiatives;
  • Communicating and using assessment results for institutional improvement, including the development of metrics and institutional dashboard; and
  • Assessing progress towards achieving our institutional and Strategic Plan goals, including setting benchmarks and analyzing trend data to determine institutional progress. Authority and Accountability This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Planning and Assessment. There are no direct report or budgetary responsibilities associated with this position. Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience or Master's degree and 1-3 years of experience

  • Understand how to analyze data, successfully manage multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • This position requires exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve and follow through on projects.
  • The candidate must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, is required.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide support for projects in the areas of: program assessment, accountability, institutional effectiveness, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
  • Must have expertise in basic statistics, database/spreadsheet management, and data analysis (Using SPSS or Excel). Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in behavioral or social science, data sciences, higher education administration, or assessment preferred.
  • Experience with SPSS preferred. Additional Job Information: The position is a full-time, exempt state role with comprehensive benefits.
