Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Research Analyst, Research Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0153737] ROLE of the POSITION The Research Analyst works directly under a Senior Researcher within the Office of Research at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, supporting funded and unfunded research projects with faculty, staff, and learners. The position designs and implements studies; collects, cleans, and analyzes data; prepares and manages Institutional Review Board protocols; develops and validates survey tools; and drafts manuscripts, abstracts, reports, posters, presentations, newsletters, and web content. The analyst also maintains research databases, data dictionaries, curated analytic files, and dashboards that support institutional reporting and scholarly dissemination. The role operates in a data-intensive environment that includes work with large secondary datasets and with the expectation of graduated independent judgment to resolve complex methodological and data challenges. The ideal candidate will have the ability to sustain multitasking across several concurrent studies with competing deadlines. Duties include day-to-day mentoring of medical trainees and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field of training (e.g., Public Health, Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology or similar fields of Social Sciences) and 2-4 years of related experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

Preferred Qualifications
