Packaging Mechanic Location: Flanders, NJ Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Compensation: $25/hour + Overtime Opportunities Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time About the Opportunity A well-established, family-owned manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Packaging Mechanic to join its maintenance team. Operating for more than 60 years, the company manufactures and packages specialty food and beverage products and is experiencing continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working independently, and making a direct impact on production uptime. - Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging equipment to support daily production
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on packaging machinery
- Diagnose equipment issues and replace worn or damaged components
- Repair and maintain vertical and horizontal packaging machines
- Work with equipment manuals, diagrams, and maintenance documentation
- Monitor machine performance and address downtime issues quickly
- Perform light facility maintenance when needed
- Operate a forklift as part of maintenance and production support activities
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized electrical and welding repairs Equipment You'll Work On

- Tape machines and related production equipment Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience maintaining and repairing packaging equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Forklift experience Compensation & Benefits • $25/hour
