Summary of Primary Functions: Maintains accurate inventory records, performs cycle counts and audits, manages inventory transactions in IFS, and supports the efficient flow of incoming and outgoing materials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides weekly inventory cycle counts to the Production Manager and Supply Chain Manager.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships and operational flow with Material Control, Steel Shop Lead, Batch Material Lead, and Production Support Lead.
- Gains working knowledge of IFS and operational flow. Analyzes receiving procedures in Tindall Operating Procedures.
- Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments picked in IFS.
- Assists with incoming and outgoing material flow with Production Support Lead and Material Control.
- Manages and maintains the inventory system (IFS); facilitates upgrades to related databases (USB) and/or software under the Production Manager's direction.
- Analyzes daily IFS entries for duplicates across batch material, inventory, and non-inventory material.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assists with periodic weekly, monthly, and annual physical inventory audits.
- Operates forklift truck when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as requested. Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Basic understanding of IFS and USB.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision. Job Specifications or Qualifications: Education : High School Diploma or GED is required. Experience: 3–5 years of related experience in inventory control, materials management, or a similar role.
