Cross Creek has been growing beautiful landscapes and strong relationships in the Richmond area since 1974. Today we have 225 team members across our garden center, production, and landscaping operations. We're looking for a Landscape Maintenance Coordinator to support our Maintenance Division, which manages a $7+ million portfolio (about 70% residential and 30% commercial). This role reports to the General Manager and is based at our office at 501 Courthouse Rd, Richmond, VA 23236. This is not a traditional administrative job. You'll be the connection point between Account Managers, Production Managers, field crews, and customers. You'll keep information accurate, schedules organized, and commitments followed through. You don't need to know landscaping when you start. We can teach you the business. What we can't teach is ownership, initiative, follow-through, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. What You'll Own CRM and customer information. You'll own our customer relationship management (CRM) system, the software that runs all of our scheduling, field notes, and customer and property records, and the information that runs the division. That means keeping customer, property, and service records accurate. It also means entering service requests and notes, tracking open items until they're resolved, and helping Account Managers use the system as a daily tool. We want you to help shape how we manage information, too, and to find ways to improve it. Coordinating the operation. You'll work with Account Managers and Production Managers on schedules, routes, crews, materials, and job details. You'll catch conflicts and missing information before they affect production, adjust as seasonal and daily priorities shift, and help managers stay focused on what matters most. Customer service. This role spends a lot of time on the phone, and call volume is high during peak seasons. You'll handle calls with customers, crews, and managers, and you'll be the first point of contact for customer questions, updates, and requests. You'll respond to residential and commercial customers promptly and professionally, and route their concerns to the right Account Manager. Keep customers updated before they have to ask. Handle difficult situations calmly and with solutions, and take ownership of the customer experience even when an issue belongs to another department. Supporting the team. You'll relay information between the office and the field, help with onboarding paperwork, support special projects, and step in wherever the team needs you. You'll also source apparel for crews and office staff, and handle subcontracted work and repairs, from getting quotes to scheduling the work and following up until it's done. Who You Are You see what needs to be done and handle it without being told. You follow up without reminders, find answers instead of waiting for them, and speak up early when something's wrong. When a problem comes up, you work it yourself first: you gather the facts, find a solution, and fix it. You bring an issue to a manager only when it truly needs their decision, and when you do, you bring a recommended solution with it. You're organized, you notice details, and you can juggle multiple priorities without dropping any. You take pride in doing things right, and you want to grow with the company. Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in landscape maintenance, CRM management, operations, scheduling, customer service, or administration is helpful but not required. We care more about your work ethic, organization, communication, and willingness to learn than a perfect résumé.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is strongly preferred. Schedule & Pay • $21–$23 per hour, based on experience (approximately $48,500–$53,000 per year with scheduled overtime)
- Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
- 43 paid hours per week, with overtime paid after 40. Includes an unpaid 30-minute lunch Monday–Thursday. The early start matters because this role supports managers and crews as their day begins. What Success Looks Like The Maintenance team can count on you. The CRM is accurate and actually used, managers and crews have the information they need, customer requests are handled and closed out, and communication between the office and the field keeps getting better. Over time, you become someone who knows our customers, systems, and business inside and out. This role has real room for advancement. As you master it and learn the business, you'll have the chance to take on more responsibility and grow into larger roles within the Maintenance Division and across the company. Why Cross Creek?
