- student loan navigation support · Mentorship, advancement, and professional development opportunities BASIC FUNCTIONS: The Assistant Program Director provides direction, coordination, development, and planning of assigned program area(s) under the direction of the Program Director. This position demonstrates an ability to apply trauma-informed principles and integrate them into daily practice. This position also communicates effectively and promotes collaborative problem solving by demonstrating care and respect in considering the diverse experiences and perspectives of others. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Program Management:
- Directs the development and implementation of assigned program area(s).
- Oversees service delivery under the direction of the Program Director.
- Under guidance of and in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and Program Director develops and revises program-specific policies and procedures, as needed.
- Serves as first point of contact/liaison for referral and funding sources; maintains professional, positive collegial relationship with all funding sources, including governing bodies, grant funders, individual donors, and oversight committees.
- Coordinates and collaborates with other agency departments.
- Under guidance of and in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer, Program Director, and the VP of Quality Improvement, compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual outcome measures for assigned program area(s). 2. Personnel Management:
- Collaborates with Human Resources and the Development & Public Relations departments to actively recruit and retain staff; meets staffing level requirements to adhere to contractual agreements and contribute to The Baby Fold’s growth/strategic planning initiatives.
- Directs the appropriate supervision, training, support, and timely performance feedback/performance evaluations of all assigned employees, including program-assigned volunteers, interns, and/or contractors for assigned program(s). Effectively communicates departmental staffing and organizational changes to employees of assigned program(s), as appropriate. WORK LOCATION: 614 N. Oglesby, Normal, IL 61761
Work Hours
: Full Time, 37.5 hrs. per week. PAY: $83,200.00 minimum annually. Salary commensurate with Education and experience. This is a salary/ exempt position. Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field required; Degree must meet DCFS/IDHS requirements for management of a Child Welfare Agency. 2. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist required. 3. Minimum of five years of work experience in human services supervision and administration, preferred. 4. Minimum of three years of experience providing direct services in child welfare or family support services. 5. Advanced working knowledge of relevant Rules and Procedures for DCFS, IDHS, and/or ISBE preferred. 6. A demonstrated and consistent history of planning, developing, implementing and improving programs and people to meaningfully, measurably, and positively impact program results. 13. Must pass necessary background checks. 14. Demonstrated competence in serving a culturally diverse population. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse workforce. 15. Ability and willingness to travel for job responsibilities, including a valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle with adequate insurance.
