IT Specialist III

Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance Role Overview As the IT Specialist III, you will regulate the operation and installation of network systems, architecture, and topology. You will conduct network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis. When issues arise, you will demonstrate the ability to identify and isolate issues, minimizing network outages, degradation, latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues. General Skillset

• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
• Critical Thinking Skills Specific Duties
• Monitoring and troubleshooting routers, switches, servers, interfaces, circuits, and other network-connected devices
• Analyze SolarWinds alerts, events, logs, performance metrics, and historical data to determine root cause and support incident resolution
• Troubleshoot device/interface availability, bandwidth utilization, CPU/memory utilization, interface errors, and network performance anomalies
• Respond to SolarWinds alerts, translating monitoring information into actionable troubleshooting steps and escalation recommendations Requirements Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
• IAT Level II required
• SCP preferred Experience Requirements
• 5+ years of relevant IT experience
• Extensive hands-on experience using SolarWinds for enterprise network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
• Experience with SolarWinds modules such as Network Performance Monitor (NPM) and related network monitoring capabilities
• Experience supporting a Network Operations Center (NOC) or enterprise IT operations environment strongly preferred
