Description The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Human Resources Coordinator in our HR Department. Responsibilities:
- Completes background checks for all volunteers and/or coaches/instructors.
- Prepares new hire documentation.
- Prepares and monitors all Personnel Action Forms (PAF)
- Track and process paperwork for completion on introductory period increases.
- Maintains and organizes effective filing systems for the Human Resources department. Keeps employee records up to date by processing any changes in a timely manner.
- Completes all data entry to include but not limited to new hires, changes, and terminations.
- Ensures compliance with records retention and maintains schedule for destruction.
- Coordinates and provides logistical support for all meetings and training for the HR department
- Maintains records and monitors that employees are attending required training.
- Prepares termination paperwork and sets up exit interviews
- Updates and maintains job descriptions
- Process Termination in HRIS.
- Enter enrollments and termination in supplemental insurance sites (if applicable)
- Scan HR Documents into document system.
- File all HR paperwork for personnel files
- Semi-annually runs driver’s license check through telecommunications.
- Processes all verifications of wages and/or employment.
- Process HR invoices for payment and submit to AP
- Process and track COBRA payments
- Track FMLA documents and time used
- Updates all federal and state employment posters as the laws are updated.
- Maintains the who to contact list
- Monitors inventory and coordinates office supply orders.
- Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Ensures the policy and procedures are being followed.
- Presents suggestions and/or recommendations for training programs and other opportunities for employees.
- Assists with ensuring compliance with State and Federal mandates such as DOT guidelines and standards, blood borne pathogens, OSHA, ADA, Labor Department, FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.
- Prepares a variety of confidential documents, government mandated reports, and correspondence as directed. - Associate’s degree in human resource management or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in HR or a related field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Excellent organization, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects is required.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have a professional, approachable, and pleasant demeanor.
- Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
