An Employee shall use appropriate pedagogical methods and material. Teaching Qualification Requirements: Education: Master's degree, or equivalent, in Asian Studies. Experience: Applicants should have substantial experience teaching as an instructor at the university level. Required Application Documents: Applicants must submit the following documents: 1. an updated CV, 2. a letter of introduction stating their teaching philosophy and how they would approach the teaching of a particular course , and 3. a syllabus for the course which must follow the template provided by the McGill course outline guidelines ( ). Course: EAST 230D2 – First Level Chinese (4.5 credits) section 001 Course details: Asian Language & Literature : Introduction to the basic structures of Mandarin Chinese, Pin-yin romanization and 750 characters for reading and writing. Emphasis on developing aural and oral skills through communication games and interaction activities. Animated films are used as part of teaching materials.
