Position Summary Baltimore Public Media seeks a Membership Engagement Coordinator to help build meaningful relationships with members while supporting the day-to-day services and systems that make those relationships possible. This position supports member stewardship, retention, volunteer coordination, membership-focused events and field marketing, member communications, and front-line constituent service. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing and Membership, the coordinator helps implement membership strategy through thoughtful communications, responsive service, and positive member experiences. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with members and volunteers, is comfortable working in a CRM and other communication systems and can balance public-facing activities with detailed administrative work. Key Responsibilities Member Engagement and Stewardship
- Coordinate member engagement, stewardship, retention, and appreciation initiatives.
- Plan and execute membership-focused events and recommend new approaches to strengthen member relationships and participation.
- Build relationships with members and volunteers and serve as an informed ambassador for Baltimore Public Media, WYPR, and WTMD. Membership Marketing and Communications
- Support membership campaigns, stewardship communications, and member-marketing initiatives.
- Implement membership communications through Iterable and other approved platforms in coordination with Marketing and Membership
- leadership.
- Review member-service communications and direct-mail materials for accuracy, clarity, and a consistent member experience. Volunteer and Field Engagement
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, scheduling, communication, training, day-of support, and appreciation.
- Support BPM's membership presence at station events, festivals, tabling opportunities, and other community activities by preparing materials, staffing membership tables, engaging attendees, and coordinating volunteers.
- Coordinate membership-focused field marketing with Events, Marketing, Programming, and other participating teams. Member Services and RevCRM
- Develop proficiency in RevCRM and serve as a front-line resource for membership-service workflows and constituent information.
- Manage member inquiries through RevCRM Case Management and provide timely, thoughtful, and accurate service.
- Maintain constituent records within established data standards and route gift-processing, correction, reporting, and system-administration needs to the designated CRM owner.
- Work with BPM's membership-services partner to troubleshoot member issues, test functionality, and support recurring membership processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve member-service workflows and elevate recurring issues to the Senior Manager of Marketing and Membership. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Partner with colleagues across Development, Marketing, Events, Programming, News, and other departments to support membership initiatives.
- Coordinate with BPM's call center and other external partners before, during, and after fundraising campaigns.
- Protect confidential constituent information and follow organizational policies and established procedures.

- Ability to work accurately in constituent databases and communication platforms and to follow established data-governance procedures.

- Ability to collaborate across departments and build productive working relationships.
- Passion for public media, membership, and community engagement. Qualifications Educational Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Required Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in membership, nonprofit fundraising, marketing, communications, customer service, event coordination, volunteer management, field marketing, or a related field.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of station events and member-engagement activities. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using a constituent database or CRM; experience with RevCRM or a similar platform is a plus.
- Experience coordinating volunteers, events, tabling, or other public-facing engagement activities.
