We are looking for a Material Handler to join our team! The material handler position is responsible for moving material as needed to proper areas. 1st Shift: 9:00 AM – 05:30

PM Essential

FUNCTIONS:

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments; verify quantities, item descriptions, and lot/serial numbers against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Record all receipts in the ERP system; update inventory stock levels; maintain accurate shipping/receiving logs
  • Move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to designated locations through the facility
  • Organize and maintain empty tubs, crates, pallets, and other containers as materials are transferred
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move goods from dock to storage or production staging areas
  • Communicate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Loads and unloads materials on or from pallets, trays, racks, crates or bins
  • Transport materials from storage areas or workstations to assigned production or staging locations
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials, create ID tags using supplier-provided information
  • Prepares purchase blanks for processing by transferring parts from crates and into bins and attaching appropriate documentation.
  • Preforms daily preventative maintenance inspections on assigned equipment and document findings
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Completed other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

:

  • High School diploma or the equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a plant/warehouse setting, experience in material handling preferred
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to operate computer and familiarize Microsoft Office Suite
  • Stand up and Sit Down Fork lift experience required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
