Description Join a stable, growing, family-owned company with 50 years of success! Bay Family of Companies is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Corporate Office and play an important role in supporting financial performance across our business. This position combines financial leadership, analysis, reporting, and process improvement, while partnering with business leaders to turn financial information into meaningful insights and informed decisions. As Finance Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Staff and Senior Accountants while overseeing financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, audits, KPI reporting, and financial analysis. You'll also have the opportunity to identify opportunities for process improvement, strengthen internal controls, and help drive greater efficiency and consistency across our business segments. What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the Finance team, including coaching, workload planning, performance feedback, and professional development for Staff and Senior Accountants.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, including the preparation and review of financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting packages.
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including managing information requests and overseeing the preparation of audit workpapers.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and executive reporting focused on key business metrics such as sales, margin, labor, and overhead.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business and strategic decision-making.
- Analyze revenue and expenses and partner with business leaders to identify risks, evaluate opportunities, and improve financial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and reporting, including opportunities for standardization and automation across business segments.
- Travel occasionally, with overnight travel of up to 5%. Requirements Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in accounting/finance (public and/or private), required
- Three years of experience leading or managing employees, required
- Manufacturing accounting/finance experience, strongly preferred
- Experience with multi-entity reporting and/or foreign currency reporting, strongly preferred
- Experience in FP&A-style analysis and business partnering (e.g., profitability analysis, pricing/margin analysis, KPI development, and executive-ready reporting)
- Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., Power Query/Power Pivot, pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas); experience with data extraction/analysis tools is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Management Reporter (or similar ERP/reporting tools) is a plus Benefits: At The Bay Family of Companies, we believe in taking care of our employees.
