Sr. Research Scientist - Biomaterials

- Conduct research on biomaterials and cellular engineering targeted for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications and generate protocols for the same
- Participate in interdisciplinary research with colleagues and collaborators
- Conceptualize, plan, execute, analyse data and troubleshoot experiments
- Meet with vendors for raw materials and instruments procurement, functionalization, and with CROs for specialized services
- Landscape study for suitable bio-inks using different biopolymer combinations & approaches
- Perform extensive physical, biological & chemical characterization to obtain optimized product
- Assess suitability of biopolymers from different sources (modified by different manufacturers) by landscaping their combinations to obtain optimized formulation suitable for the desired application
- Technology transition for pre-clinical studies, data analysis, planning of the experiments & troubleshooting via regular calls, video demonstration & presentations
- Ensure availability of relevant instruments, materials, reagents, and other resources for the experiments
- Write scientific documents like manuscript, patent, grant proposals, etc.
- Represent the company’s vision, team’s ideas & progress during investors’ visits and meetings with collaborators
- Prepare presentations for representing company in global platforms (Business plan competition & conferences) Work Location: Electronic City, Bangalore Required Skills / Experience
- PhD with relevant industry experience between 7 to 12 years
