We are seeking a motivated Paralegal to join our growing State Arbitration and Worker’s Compensation team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks, including legal document preparation, communication with medical offices, and preparing/filing State-Arbitration briefs. As a Paralegal at Gottlieb and Greenspan, you will be an integral part of our legal team, supporting attorneys in a diverse field of various states. Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and/or analyze routine legal documents as requested by attorneys.
- Enter arbitration/case calendaring where appropriate to track filings and appropriately distribute information.
- Perform elements of case management, including electronic file management and schedule tracking.
- Regularly interact with clients to provide updates on their cases and to request further documentation.
- Review briefs and filings for conformity with court-specific formatting, citation, and procedural requirements. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college required.
- Paralegal certification preferred, not required.
- Minimum 2+ years' work experience in a high-volume civil litigation practice as a paralegal. (Ample training on the relevant cases will be provided).
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite/Excel.
- Experience developing and maintaining processes to organize and maintain electronic case files.
- Preference in coordinating trial/arbitration logistics in either New York or New Jersey.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, collaborative outlook, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Preference for the ability to read and decipher medical EOBs
- Preferred familiarity with CPT coding Salary Range: $60,000-70,000 / year, commensurate with experience Benefits:
