Warehouse Operative

What You Can Expect :

• Unloading stock and placing into correct areas for put away.
• Checking goods in and goods out for accuracy as per manifest provided.
• Customer stock put away in line with approved procedures
• Reporting faults, damages, or errors to the supervisor.
• Completion of appropriate paperwork to compliance and quality standards
• Pick, pack, and preparation of goods for shipment as communicated by the warehouse supervisor in accordance with customer specifications.
• Loading stock from staging areas onto delivery vehicles, ensuring checking procedures are adhered to.
• Support regular cycle counts and assists Stock Controller with stock takes.
• Communicate issues with supervisor to ensure quality of shipments.
• Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure put away / pick accuracy.
• Supporting the health and safety of oneself and others through strict adherence to company policy.
• Licenced to safely operate Material Handling Equipment and other warehouse machinery.
• Immediate reporting of accidents, incidents, near misses or health and safety concerns, and cooperating with investigations into same.
• Maintaining communication with Customer Service & Transport departments to ensure smooth flow of information through the business.
• Once trained engage in the use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accuracy of information.
• Understand warehouse layout and processes and communicate suggestions for improvement.
• Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to customer inquiries regarding orders, status complaints etc.
• Cooperate with investigations by the Quality Department to satisfy customer inquiries
