Job Description About The Department UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. • Work closely with Technical Delivery Manager, System Analyst, Infra, deployments and vendor teams.
• Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
• Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform
• Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component
• Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
• Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank
• Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
• Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively
• Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions
• Analyse performance test, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects
• Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
• Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment
• Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions
• Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines Job Requirements The ideal candidate will be a dependable and resourceful technology management professional who can comfortably work in a large development organization in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork, and collaboration. Well-versed in the latest trends, especially around disruptive technology, and proven record in execution. The ability to work and thrive in high pressure environment is essential. The ideal candidate will be a dependable and resourceful technology management professional who can comfortably work in a large development organization in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork, and collaboration. He/she should be passionate about Technology and have a mindset to be technically hands-on if needed. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar domain related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory.
• More than 8 years of hands-on technical experience in Banking or Financial Services Credit/ Loan origination domain experience.
• Go-getter attitude with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
• Strong hands-on experience in: Java/J2EE application development, Oracle SQL / PL-SQL,
• Basic Unix/Linux knowledge, including
• File system navigation, Process monitoring, Log analysis
• Understanding in shell scripting experience (e.g. Shell, Korn Shell, Bash) will be an advantage.
• Experience with middleware and integration technologies such as: WebLogic / WebSphere, SFTP / Connect Direct / MQ / API, XML / JSON
• Understanding of DevOps tools and software delivery practices (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, CI/CD pipelines).
