This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Infrastructure Software Engineer Metadata Core based in Canada. This role offers the opportunity to build and operate large-scale distributed database and storage infrastructure in a fully remote environment. You will work on systems where low latency, strong consistency, high availability, and fault tolerance are critical. The position involves designing replication, partitioning, consensus, caching, and durability mechanisms that support scalable data platforms. You will develop performance-critical infrastructure using Go, Rust, C++, or similar systems programming languages. The role also combines hands-on engineering with production operations, complex troubleshooting, and reliability improvements. You will collaborate with infrastructure and product engineering teams while contributing to the long-term evolution of distributed data systems.
