About the role COUNTRY Financial is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Guidewire Solution Architect to join the Property and Casualty Claims Insurance Application Development team. As a member of the team, you will work closely with our enterprise and other solution Architects, technology development teams and business units during the development of new functionality in the Guidewire ClaimCenter system supporting claims reporting and handling for multiple lines of business as well as working with the technology team supporting the claims components already in production. This key role provides oversight and technical strategic direction to teams comprised of business partners, internal and contracted technology team members, and software vendors to deliver solutions. You will serve as technical expert on development projects and will work closely with many areas across COUNTRY Technology to build architectural roadmaps and ensure successful delivery of system functions that meet business partner expectations. You will work with senior leadership to clear blockers and share the successes of the teams. You will participate in the full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. You will be responsible to write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements and identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. • Typically requires 14+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
• Strong organization, written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Property/Casualty insurance Claims workflows.
• Expert level knowledge of Guidewire’s ClaimCenter, including configuration and integration capabilities, cloud implementations.
• Demonstrated forward thinking skills, ability to look at the overall needs of the business area supported and contributed to the direction and recommend improvement ideas.
• Demonstrated experience with developing and driving strategic Claims systems architectural direction.
• Proven experience working on technical requirements to design solutions.
• Demonstrated experience providing guidance on data model changes and code quality, including support of teams in code reviews.
• Proven ability to work with support teams resolving complex issues related to performance.
• Experience in creating process diagrams for business solutions. Be able to present to leadership or business audiences.
• Ability to do impact analysis of a change to a system you support, and other systems impacted.
• Must be able to perform under pressure, multitask, prioritize, and show appropriate sense of urgency.
• Proven ability of working within an Agile development life cycle (including a strong understanding of the interactions between engineers, analysts, and testers)
• Experience working on large strategic, multi-phase projects involving multiple teams.
• Experience using Rally.
• Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, BitBucket and GitLab. #LI-CORP Base Pay Range: $138,800-$190,850 The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
