• Is operationally responsible to the Pilot-in-Command on all flights.
• Performs all flight duties as assigned by the Pilot-in-Command.
• Collaborate with crew to ensure passenger safety, comfort, and service quality.
• Assumes the authority to act on behalf of the Pilot-in-Command when the Pilot-in-Command is incapacitated Shall be knowledgeable of the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot-in-Command.
• Must be highly knowledgeable of the General Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Administration Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other instructions pertinent to assigned duties.
• Maintains a current medical certificate as required by Tradewind Aviation, LLC and notifies the Chief Pilot if a medical (physical or mental) condition may impair their ability to perform the flight.
• Other duties as assigned. Compensation:
• Competitive Salary established pay scale including yearly increases and bonuses.
• Most pilots earn well above the starting salary.
• Starting Salary $50,000 a year.
• Day Rate starting at SIC- $300 and PIC - $700.
• Per Diem: $3.21 Domestic and International per duty hour
• Overnight Pay: $20 Domestic, $30 International
• Flight Duty Pay – All legs flown over leg 6 is an additional $125 per leg. Position-Specific Benefits:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Aviation Related College Degree preferred, but not required Qualifications, Certificates, Licenses & Document Requirements:
• Valid U.S. unrestricted driver's license
• Valid unrestricted passport
• FAA First Class Medical
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
• Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL)
• FAA Instrument Rating
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit Experience & Professional Skills:
• 500 hours total time, 800 hours preferred
• 75 hours night preferred
• CFI, CFII preferred
• Current IFR knowledge and experience
• Thorough knowledge of Garmin 430 Avionics, preferred
• Previous customer service experience Work Environment & Culture Skills:
• Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software & internet proficiency.
• Able to speak, read, understand, and write English.

• Regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Load and unload aircraft as necessary.
• Moderate to heavy lifting is required (up to 70lbs).
• Work may be performed with exposure to all seasonal weather elements of varying heat, cold, wind and precipitation.
• Potential exposure to environmental factors such as aircraft and exhaust fumes. Location Requirements:
• Operation bases in Waterbury–Oxford Airport
• Oxford, CT (OXC), Westchester County Airport
• White Plains, NY (HPN), Luis Muñoz Marín, International Airport
• Carolina, Puerto Rico (SJU), Witham Field Airport (SUA).
• Must be able to report to base within 90 minutes.
• Due to our operations this position is NOT commutable.
• There will be no relocation package for this position. Shift Requirements:
• Schedules differ with base location, but you can expect to be scheduled 4 days per week.
• Schedules released up to 30 days in advance.
• Guaranteed 13 days off a month, any less than would be paid as a Volunteer Day.
• Must be available for assigned shifts; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work extended hours and be ready to report to work with short notice.
• Must be able to relocate to other Company bases for seasonal business needs.
• Other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. International Requirements:
• Candidate must be able to work and travel within the United States freely.
• Candidate must have a non-conditional, non-expired green card.
