Job Summary Job Description Summary The Principal Architect – Cloud Foundation role will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives as clients move towards Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC), Automation and Hybrid Clouds. The Principal Architect plays a crucial role in driving digital transformation by leveraging VMware by Broadcom Cloud Foundation solutions to optimize infrastructure and private cloud environments, accelerate development cycles, and improve operational efficiency, while also ensuring security and governance. This post-sales role is embedded within our professional services organization and is accountable for ensuring successful implementation and user adoption of VMware by Broadcom technology solutions. This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and customer-facing consulting skills. This position is a remote position with Home Office setup as determined by SHI management. Role Description
- Lead technical architecture and solution delivery for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) projects across multiple service domains.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Cloud Foundation domain.
- Provide architecture and delivery leadership for: Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) solutions, including VMware VCF 9.x. Cloud Management solutions, including VMware VCF Automation and VMware VCF Operations. Network Virtualization solutions, including VMware VCF Networking. CI/CD pipeline technologies, including GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and AWS DevOps.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, JavaScript, and other scripting languages.
- Apply extensive knowledge of DevOps methodologies, including governance and security best practices.
- Leverage deep expertise in Kubernetes platforms and related technologies.
- Utilize extensive experience with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Serve as the technical lead and SME on projects and workshops, providing oversight, guidance, and accountability for project outcomes.
- Lead the development of tools, frameworks, and processes that improve project delivery efficiency and consistency.
- Act as an industry leader in infrastructure modernization strategies, processes, and methodologies.
- Partner with sales and presales teams to identify and close professional services opportunities through customer discovery and solution scoping discussions.
- Deliver configuration, implementation, and upgrade services within customer environments.
- Mentor and develop other architects and consultants, providing technical guidance and best practices.
- Participate in presales engagements, solution design sessions, and service planning activities.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor offerings.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship in both presales and post-sales capacities to support the successful evaluation, adoption, and ongoing use of solutions and services.

- Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
- 7+ years of experience in VMware Cloud Foundation solutions architecture and the implementation of such solutions and tools
- 10+ years of experience with VMWare and associate product range in enterprise environments
- 8
- 10+ years of technical experience with increasing responsibility
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Thorough understanding of automation technologies & software-defined datacenter The base salary for this position is $180,000 - $220,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus, are $220,000 - $250,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
