- Legal Analyst Protective Life Corporation has an opening in its Birmingham, Alabama corporate office for a legal analyst to join the Legal Department and work with the Corporate and Transactions Team in connection with regulatory and corporate governance matters. Key Responsibilities
- Research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings
- Communicate with state insurance regulators and internal stakeholders
- Support corporate governance activities for Boards of Directors and committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating with presenters, preparing meeting materials, drafting resolutions, and drafting meeting minutes
- Maintain organized records Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Careful attention to detail
- Highly organized with proven time-management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry, particularly the life insurance industry
- Experience supporting corporate governance processes and board operations
- Paralegal certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of three years of corporate paralegal experience
- Associate’s degree and high school diploma or equivalent #LI-SB1
