Manager, Product Governance

About the role At Dyson, effective Product Development governance is essential to ensuring products are delivered consistently, safely and efficiently whilst balancing rigour, agility and speed to market. As Dyson products become increasingly complex, software-enabled and subject to growing regulatory expectations, governance activities must be executed consistently and effectively to enable robust decision-making, assurance and accountability across the Product Development lifecycle. The Manager, Product Governance is responsible for the day-to-day operation, coordination and continuous improvement of Dyson’s Product Development governance processes. The role manages governance reviews, milestone readiness, governance administration, governance reporting inputs and governance standards adoption, ensuring governance activities operate consistently across Business Units and functions. Working closely with Engineering, DDIO, Product Leadership, Quality and Manufacturing functions, the role provides governance coordination, readiness assessment, independent challenge and operational support that enable effective governance decisions and stronger Product Development outcomes. Accountabilities Governance Operation & Coordination

• Coordinate the operation of Dyson’s Product Development governance processes.
• Manage governance reviews, governance forums and milestone activities across Product Development.
• Ensure governance activities are planned, coordinated and completed in accordance with governance requirements.
• Provide governance administration, decision tracking and governance follow-up activities.
• Support consistent application of governance standards and governance operating practices across Product Development. Milestone Readiness & Due Diligence
• Coordinate milestone readiness activities across project teams and contributing functions.
• Review governance evidence and milestone deliverables to support governance decision-making.
• Identify gaps, risks and governance readiness concerns prior to governance reviews.
• Support governance due diligence activities and independent assessment processes.
• Ensure governance decisions, actions and outcomes are documented and tracked to closure. Governance Standards & Compliance
• Support implementation of governance policies, standards, templates and operating procedures.
• Promote consistent application of governance requirements across Product Development.
• Monitor governance compliance and governance process adherence.
• Support collection of governance performance information and maturity indicators.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance consistency and effectiveness. Governance Reporting & Insight
• Support governance reporting, governance dashboards and governance performance metrics.
• Analyse governance outcomes, trends and recurring issues.
• Provide governance reporting inputs for leadership reviews and governance forums.
• Support governance maturity assessments and continuous improvement activities.
• Contribute to development of governance insight and performance reporting. Governance Adoption & Capability Development
• Support governance communication, training and awareness activities.
• Assist Product Development teams in understanding and applying governance requirements.
• Promote governance adoption and capability maturity across Product Development.
• Support implementation of governance improvements and capability development initiatives.
• Share governance best practice, lessons learned and improvement opportunities. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
• Build strong relationships across Engineering, DDIO, Business Units, Quality, Manufacturing and Product Leadership teams.
• Partner with Product Frameworks, Portfolio Operations, Knowledge Management and Product Development Data, Systems & Insight teams.
• Facilitate alignment on governance readiness, governance requirements and review outcomes.
• Support governance decision-making through clear communication and coordination.
• Act as a trusted governance partner to Product Development stakeholders. Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve governance execution, administration and efficiency.
• Support implementation of governance process improvements.
• Capture lessons learned from governance activities and decision outcomes.
• Contribute to governance capability maturity initiatives.
• Support broader Portfolio Operations, Product Frameworks & Governance transformation activities. About you Professional experience
• Experience in Product Development governance, programme governance, PMO, operational excellence or business operations within a complex organisation.
• Experience coordinating governance reviews, milestone activities or assurance processes.
• Experience improving business processes, governance processes or operational performance.
• Experience supporting stakeholders across multiple functions and organisational levels.
• Experience supporting reporting, analysis and governance decision-making activities.
• Strong understanding of Product Development delivery, governance and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading small teams, project teams or operational activities. Critical leadership competencies
