Job Description At GE Vernova, we design and develop advanced technologies for energy conversion and power grids, actively contributing to the transformation of the global energy infrastructure. At our Noventa di Piave headquarters, you'll join a team that translates customer requirements into precise technical solutions—configuring electrical schematics for switch actuator control systems and managing a portfolio of orders from order placement to production release. As a Contract Engineering Specialist, you'll be responsible for the technical journey of each project you lead: interpreting customer specifications, defining mechanical configurations, preparing and aligning documentation with customers, and releasing the Bill of Materials (BoM) for purchasing and production. You'll work closely with project managers and customers, managing multiple orders simultaneously at different stages of completion—bringing technical robustness and organizational clarity to every interaction. What You'll Do

• Manage projects from a technical perspective — read and interpret customer Purchase Order (PO) specifications; define the electrical configuration (installation drawings) that meets customer requirements, drawing from GE Vernova's validated standard product and accessories portfolio developed by Research & Development (R&D).
• Lead customer technical exchanges — prepare, submit, and revise mechanical schema documentation as the primary technical interface with the customer; produce supporting technical documentation where required; and obtain customer approval at each defined milestone.
• Release Bills of Materials for production — once customer approval is secured, prepare and release the product's technical BoM in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to enable the Global Supply Chain (GSC) team to procure and produce all required materials.
• Plan and monitor your project portfolio — manage up to 10–15 concurrent projects at varying stages of execution; define and track project milestones; and ensure correct planning across all active orders to meet delivery commitments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally — work closely with Project Managers and internal teams to align on technical development, resolve issues, and maintain momentum across your project portfolio. Who We're Looking For You're a technically grounded engineer with a natural ability to manage complexity, prioritise competing demands, and communicate clearly with both customers and internal teams. • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energetic, or a related technical discipline. A formal qualification is relevant to the mechanocal configuration and documentation work in this role; however, we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements, and a demonstrated technical background in electrical systems or industrial engineering will be strongly considered.
• Proven experience in a technical project management, application engineering, or contract engineering environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for industrial equipment.
• Experience configuring or specifying electrical or electromechanical products based on customer technical specifications.
• Solid organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at different stages of execution and prioritise effectively under pressure. Preferred
• Familiarity with medium-voltage (MV) or low-voltage (LV) switchgear, disconnectors, or related electrical equipment.
• Experience using an ERP system for Bill of Materials (BoM) creation and release.
• Fluency in Italian and working proficiency in English, given the dual-language working environment at this site.
