Senior Tax Analyst - Avalara for Accountants

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Implementation Consultant based in the United States. This remote role sits within a Professional Services environment and focuses on delivering complex, high-visibility enterprise implementations for specialized excise tax platforms. You will own technical architecture and tax determination strategies for high-volume, multi-jurisdiction customers across energy, fuel, tobacco, and related supply chains. The role combines solution architecture, tax technology expertise, systems integration, and hands-on technical troubleshooting. You will engage directly with senior tax, IT, and enterprise architecture stakeholders while leading design workshops, integration testing, and technical risk management. Beyond customer delivery, you will serve as a senior escalation resource, contribute to practice-wide standards, and collaborate with external implementation partners. The position also offers opportunities to mentor consultants and help shape reusable implementation tools, processes, and training.
