Job Description Summary To be part of the MCU Department of GE Wind Offshore. The department is responsible to define the offshore Main Component Exchange/Upgrade strategy and execution of the wind turbine components and provides the methods, all the transport, operation tools and the manpower for GE Wind Offshore projects. The MCU department is responsible for all offshore activities from Vessel Mobilization to completion of the main component exchange. Supporting GE’s range of project, the offshore MCU Operation Manager will play a strategic role in supporting project preparation during the mobilization phase and then directs the wind turbine offshore operation phase onboard the vessel. -- Au sein du département MCU (Main Component Upgrade/Exchange) de GE Wind Offshore, vous participerez à la définition et à l'exécution de la stratégie d'échange et de mise à niveau des composants principaux des éoliennes offshore. Il fournit les méthodes, les moyens de transport, les outils d'intervention ainsi que les ressources humaines nécessaires aux projets offshore de GE Wind. Le Responsable des opérations MCU Offshore joue un rôle stratégique en soutenant la préparation des projets durant la phase de mobilisation, puis en dirigeant les opérations offshore sur les éoliennes à bord du navire d'intervention. Job Description Essential Responsibilities The Offshore MCU Operation Manager is responsible for ensuring that all activities undertaken by MCU team onboard the vessel are performed in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, and project specific procedures. He/She shall adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to EHS and to implement EHS rules and requirements within his area of responsibility. During preparation phase (onshore ):

• Supporting the review of GE’s lift plans, Layout , procedures and key operational documentation.
• Support project Tools list definition
• Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment & tooling
• Participate to the risk assessment
• Ensure all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are developed pro-actively and implemented into GE digital document management system (Service Max)
• Support in the selection of the construction manpower profiles
• Review and follow-up the qualification and testing program and to participate to T&I equipment testing (FAT, SAT)
• Support the Project Manager during project preparation phase
• Support the Project Engineer during Engineering project preparation phase in regards to documentation, MOCs. During offshore phase onboard the Installation Vessel : EHS
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed and unsafe working practices avoided. A clear leadership example is set and a high degree of HSE awareness is promoted.
• Toolbox talks and/or pre-lift meetings are held prior to start of any operation
• Project incidents, accidents, near misses and hazards are properly reported, investigated, and corrected. GE’s Project representative
• Liaison with the Client’s Offshore Representative and to obtain acceptance of milestones.
• Coordinate all technical aspects of port call activities and offshore works for the Project
• Ensure that the work tasks are performed safely and in accordance with the approved procedure(s)
• Coordinate the works of the WTG technicians to ensure contractually agreed installation performance.
• Review and approve Daily Progress report of the GE activities
• Provide Field operation follow-up and return of experience to the onshore project team and back office Operation execution
• Ensure that Work Permits, Lift Plans, etc. are prepared and approved in time, where applicable
• Co-ordinate all offshore vessel activities by informing, supporting, and directing personnel in their roles, responsibilities, and objectives
• Anticipate any roadblock the offshore operation may face and organize support from back office and project team
• Management of change in case of operation deviation from the standard
• Supports in the development of crew rotation plans and overall manning for operations. Qualifications/Requirements
• University degree preferred or bachelor’s degree accompanied with substantial onshore/offshore wind turbine construction supervision experience.
• 10 Years’ supervisory experience is welcomed Eligibility Requirements
• Experienced in Wind Turbine Construction
• Experienced in supervision of heavy lift activities
• Good knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering, with ability in supervising technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, the candidate shall be able to relay all method statements and operational requirements to the wider teams, holding safety briefs and toolbox talks accordingly.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
• Good soft-skills, personality management
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Desired Characteristics
• Natural leadership capabilities (EHS orientation, communicate with large operational teams, team player)

• French is a plus -- Version francaise Responsabilités principales Le Responsable des opérations MCU Offshore veille à ce que toutes les activités réalisées par l'équipe MCU à bord soient exécutées conformément aux codes, normes et procédures applicables au projet. Il/elle doit adopter un comportement exemplaire en matière de Santé, Sécurité et Environnement (EHS) et garantir la mise en œuvre des exigences EHS dans son périmètre de responsabilité. Phase de préparation (à terre) :
• Participer à la revue des plans de levage, des implantations, des procédures et de la documentation opérationnelle clé de GE.
• Contribuer à la définition de la liste des outils nécessaires au projet.
• Soutenir la mobilisation et la démobilisation des équipements et outillages.
• Participer aux évaluations des risques.
• Veiller à ce que les analyses de risques et les modes opératoires (RAMS) soient élaborés de manière proactive et intégrés dans le système de gestion documentaire numérique de GE (ServiceMax).
• Participer à la sélection des profils de personnel de chantier.
• Examiner et suivre les programmes de qualification et d'essais, et participer aux tests des équipements de transport et d'installation (FAT, SAT).
• Accompagner le Chef de Projet lors de la phase de préparation.
• Soutenir l'Ingénieur Projet dans la préparation technique, notamment concernant la documentation et les processus de gestion des modifications (MOC). Phase offshore (à bord du navire d'installation) : EHS
• Veiller au respect de toutes les procédures de sécurité et prévenir les pratiques de travail dangereuses.
• Montrer l'exemple en matière de leadership sécurité et promouvoir une forte culture HSE.
• Organiser les réunions de sécurité (« Toolbox Talks ») et réunions préalables aux opérations de levage.
• S'assurer que les incidents, accidents, quasi-accidents et situations dangereuses soient correctement signalés, analysés et traités. Représentant GE sur le projet
• Assurer l'interface avec le représentant offshore du client et obtenir la validation des étapes clés du projet.
• Coordonner les aspects techniques des escales portuaires et des opérations offshore.
• Veiller à ce que les travaux soient exécutés en toute sécurité et conformément aux procédures approuvées.
• Coordonner les activités des techniciens éoliennes (WTG) afin d'atteindre les performances contractuelles attendues.
• Examiner et approuver les rapports quotidiens d'avancement des activités GE.
• Assurer le suivi des opérations terrain et partager les retours d'expérience avec l'équipe projet à terre
