About Signal 1 Signal 1 is building the AI management and orchestration layer for the next era of healthcare AI. Health systems are rapidly moving from predictive models and generative AI to autonomous agents that can take action across clinical, operational and administrative workflows. This shift creates an entirely new set of challenges around how AI is governed, monitored, managed, and orchestrated to deliver real enterprise value. Our AI Management System (AIMS) enables them to manage their entire AI portfolio today while providing the infrastructure they need to confidently adopt agentic AI and whatever comes next. Our customers include leading health systems such as NewYork Presbyterian, Inova, and Mount Sinai. We’re a small, ambitious team tackling problems that don’t yet have an established playbook. Joining Signal 1 means helping shape not only our products, but how health systems manage and put the next era of AI to work. What you’ll do

  • Deeply understand customer needs and pain points
  • Collaborate with a small team of engineering, product, customer success, and data science from problem to solution to delivery
  • Prototype and think through broad user flows for new features
  • Generate high-fidelity designs that deliver elegant, intuitive, and delightful experiences
  • Create and maintain a scalable design system that allows our team to ship rapidly Our office is based in Yorkville, Toronto and we come together 2-3 days a week to collaborate, innovate, and have fun. This role requires you to be in-person 2-3 days a week. You’ll be a great fit if you have
  • Proven experience as a lead, senior, or only product designer in B2B enterprise SaaS startups
  • A demonstrated history designing niche and/or technically complex products . Y ou deeply understand users’ needs and pair that with enough understand ing of the technology to make sound design decisions and trade-off s.
  • High agency and the resourcefulness to get the information you need to make decisions, paired with strong design intuition to make good, fast calls even when the picture is incomplete
  • Clarity, succinctness, and precision in both design and communication visual, written, and verbal communication skills. You present design ideas to internal stakeholders and customers in ways that ’s easy to understand, invite meaningful feedback, and build alignment. You bring the same clarity to the product experience, thoughtfully guiding users through complex workflows in ways that feel intuitive, elegant , and delightful.
  • A fast, organized, AI-native way of working. You move quickly without dropping things, and you use AI tools daily to speed up every step of the product design process without sacrificing quality.
