Primary Function
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and converting relationships across the Dallas/Fort Worth hospitality market into profitable business opportunities. This role builds a strong network within hotels and resorts, sporting arenas and entertainment venues, multifamily residential developments, and active living communities, as well as with the architecture and design, commercial real estate, development, construction, ownership, and management organizations that serve these vertical markets. The Business Development Manager qualifies opportunities and partners with internal teams to position Aurora for the win. The role applies Aurora strategic selling practices and consistently delivers an extraordinary client experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a focused Dallas/Fort Worth hospitality market plan targeting priority owners, developers, operators, management groups, design firms, general contractors, purchasing organizations, and strategic accounts across hotels, sporting arenas, multifamily, and active living.
- Build and maintain relationships across the local hospitality ecosystem, including hotel and resort organizations, sports and entertainment venues, multifamily developers and operators, active living organizations, architecture and design firms, commercial real estate professionals, ownership groups, developers, general contractors, purchasing partners, and community influencers.
- Research, identify, qualify, and prioritize hospitality projects and prospective clients; develop access strategies that create meaningful introductions and new opportunities early in the planning, design, development, renovation, and procurement cycles showcasing the

portfolio of products and capabilities.
- Build productive relationships with hospitality-focused manufacturers, vendors, purchasing partners, business partners, and industry influencers to align go-to-market strategies and expand opportunity flow.
- Direct strategic opportunity pursuits through the full business development cycle: find, strategize, pitch, solve, and win.
- Create hospitality-focused market strategies and outreach tactics that strengthen Aurora brand recognition and generate qualified pipeline across new construction, renovation, repositioning, and capital improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships, gaining insight into prospective clients’ business priorities, brand standards, guest or resident experience objectives, project requirements, capital plans, procurement approach, and decision-making processes.
- Proactively present Aurora capabilities, products, services, and hospitality interior solutions in a compelling and client-centered manner, connecting design intent, operational needs, durability, brand experience, and project outcomes.
- Partner with sales, design, project management, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to shape hospitality pursuit strategy, coordinate solutions, develop proposals, and improve conversion success.
- Actively participate in hospitality proposal, bid, and specification responses for generated opportunities, including discovery, strategy, presentation development, budgeting, mockups, and interview preparation.
- Represent Aurora at hospitality, lodging, sports and entertainment, multifamily, active living, design, development, and community events; collaborate with internal partners to plan and execute Atmosphere-sponsored programs and client experiences.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM activity, account, contact, pipeline, and forecast information; use available digital selling and market intelligence tools to identify and qualify leads.
- Develop and execute to forecast, supporting annual opportunity, revenue, and overall financial plan targets.
- Communicate completely and in a timely manner with account teams, leadership, partners, and clients regarding prospective business and pursuit activity.
- Participate in negotiations with prospective clients and vendors when appropriate.
