Description America's Auto Auction (Oklahoma) 66 N Mingo Road Tulsa, OK 74116 Job Summary for Lead Automotive Detailer The Lead Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning and preparing vehicles for auction while also helping coordinate the day-to-day work of the detailing team. This position works alongside other Detailers while helping ensure vehicles are completed on time and meet the company’s appearance and quality standards. The Lead Automotive Detailer serves as a go-to resource for the team, helps prioritize work, provides hands-on training and guidance, and checks completed vehicles for quality and auction readiness. This role is ideal for someone with experience detailing vehicles who enjoys working as part of a team and taking on additional responsibility. • Career growth potential Responsibilities for Lead Automotive Detailer
• Serves as a working lead, providing day-to-day guidance and support to Detailers.
• Helps assign and prioritize daily work to meet auction schedules and operational needs.
• Assists with training and onboarding Detailers and provides guidance on detailing techniques, equipment uses, safety, and company standards.
• Washes and cleans vehicle interiors, exteriors, and engine/motor areas and prepares vehicles to meet auction-ready appearance and quality standards.
• Inspect completed vehicles to ensure quality standards are met and identify any additional work needed.
• Monitors workflow, supplies, and equipment and communicates operational, quality, attendance, or safety concerns to management.
• Works collaboratively with the detailing team and other departments to ensure vehicles are prepared accurately and on time.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area and follows all company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities for Lead Automotive Detailer
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of vehicle detailing methods, equipment, and cleaning products.
• Ability to provide direction, training, and support to team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with employees and management.
• Ability to identify issues and help resolve day-to-day workflow or quality concerns.
• Willingness to comply with company policies and uphold standards for safety, service, and quality. Education and Experience for Lead Automotive Detailer
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior vehicle detailing experience required.
• Previous lead or team leadership experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Physical Requirements for Lead Automotive Detailer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
