Description Are you an experienced leader in the heavy-duty truck, automotive aftermarket, fleet, distribution, or parts industry looking for your next opportunity? The Opportunity Our Branch Managers are responsible for much more than the day-to-day operation of a location. They take ownership of the overall performance of their branch. That means leading the team, developing customer relationships, growing sales, protecting margins, managing inventory, controlling expenses, and making sure the branch delivers the level of service our customers expect. We’re looking for leaders who are comfortable making decisions, solving problems, holding people accountable, and working alongside their teams when needed. What You’ll Do As a Branch Manager, you’ll have responsibility for the overall performance and profitability of your location.

  • Lead all aspects of branch operations, including sales, customer service, warehouse operations, inventory, delivery, staffing, and administration.
  • Take ownership of branch sales, gross profit, operating expenses, inventory, and overall profitability.
  • Develop and execute plans to achieve sales, gross profit, and operational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing customers and develop new business within the local market.
  • Build strong relationships with fleets, repair facilities, municipalities, contractors, trucking companies, and other commercial customers.
  • Work with outside and inside sales teams to develop customer strategies and pursue new opportunities.
  • Monitor local market conditions, competitors, and customer activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop branch employees while creating a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Set clear expectations for employees and address performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Manage staffing levels, schedules, overtime, and other labor costs based on the needs of the business.
  • Maintain strong inventory controls and work to improve inventory accuracy, availability, and overall inventory investment.
  • Ensure warehouse, receiving, order fulfillment, and delivery operations are efficient, accurate, and focused on customer service.
  • Monitor delivery activity and look for opportunities to improve route efficiency and control delivery costs.
  • Manage branch expenses and identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Review branch performance, operational reports, and key metrics to identify trends and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and work to strengthen long-term customer relationships.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, professional, and customer-focused branch environment.
  • Work closely with regional leadership and other branches to share resources, ideas, best practices, and business opportunities.
  • Represent Tidewater Fleet Supply / TNT Parts professionally within the local business community. What We’re Looking For We’re interested in leaders who understand that running a successful branch requires balancing people, customers, sales, inventory, operations, and profitability. Successful candidates will typically have:
  • Previous branch management, operations management, sales management, or similar leadership experience.
  • Experience in the heavy-duty truck, trailer, automotive aftermarket, fleet, industrial, equipment parts, or distribution industry strongly preferred.
  • A track record of leading and developing employees.
  • Strong business and financial understanding, including sales, gross margin, labor, expenses, and profitability.
  • The ability to develop customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow the business.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to get involved when the team needs support.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to set expectations, coach employees, and hold people accountable.
  • Comfort using technology, business systems, and performance data to make decisions.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally as needed. What Success Looks Like A successful Branch Manager at TFS/TNT builds a branch that customers want to do business with and employees want to be part of. That means:

  • Consistently looking for ways to make the branch better. Physical Requirements This position combines office, warehouse, customer, and field responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, and crouching.
  • Regular computer and administrative work.
  • Occasional work in warehouse and shop environments where personal protective equipment may be required.
  • Local travel to customer locations, company branches, and other business locations as needed.
