Description Quality Inspector I Job Title: Quality Inspector I Division/Department Reports to: Quality Sys Engineer/Inspector Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Work Comp Code: 2836 Employee Department: 525 Employee Status: Full-Time Effective Date: 09/29/2026 Labor Type: Indirect EEO Code: Operative Summary: This position reports to the Supervisor of Quality. The quality inspector is responsible for overseeing the quality of products produced. This position will work with manufacturing departments to ensure quality levels are being upheld. Strong collaboration, teamwork and communication skills will be required. Primary Responsibilities: Primary Duties:

  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Check BOM to parts being produced and correct packaging and palletizing
  • Work with operators to ensure they understand and are following the quality specifications.
  • Make decisions on quality issues and fill out necessary paperwork.
  • Write NC’s as needed.
  • Report quality issues to operators, techs, quality inspectors, and Supervisors. Safety:
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the facility through good housekeeping practices.
  • Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines. Other:
  • Train new operators to quality specifications and procedures.
  • Create work instructions and procedures for new products. Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to use various measurement tools and quality devices.
  • Basic Math
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Be able to use a tablet for inspection, email, pictures and NC writing.
  • Be professional; be able to work well with peers and members of management. Be organized and keep work area clean. Be able to stand and walk for extended period of time. Bilingual is preferred but not required. Physical Demands: Employee must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds. Employees must have the ability to complete the following repetitive tasks. Percent involved in each is applicable activity is noted.

  • Twisting 40% Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Requires the use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and hardhats. Jewelry is not permitted. Special Requirements: Must pass:
  • Pre-employment drug screen and physical.

  • 40 hours of non-paid time off starts at time of hire and requires supervisor approval to use.
  • PTO accrual starts at time of hire; 1 hour earned for every 40 hours worked. PTO can be used for any reason after 90 days of employment.
  • Vacation accrual starts once eligibility time has been met; requires supervisor approval to use. Increase in vacation time earned is based on years of service schedule.
  • 10 paid holidays once eligibility time has been met.

Company approval is required and must be related to employee’s current or potential future position with the company, Requirements Shifts available dependent on current openings based on production needs : Day shift M-F 6:00am-3:30pm 1st shift M-F 6a-2p 2nd shift M-F 2p-10p with 10% premium Night shift Su-Th 6:00pm-3:30am with 15% premium
