About the Opportunity Job Summary: The Lopez Group at Northeastern University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with experience in machine learning and organic chemistry to join a collaborative project focused on sustainable polymer synthesis from CO₂. The researcher will develop and apply computational and AI-based methods, including high-throughput quantum chemistry and machine learning, to guide the design of metal-free cyclopropenimine catalysts, substrates, and reaction conditions for the synthesis of polyurethanes and polycarbonates. Qualifications : Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field, strong programming and machine-learning skills, and a solid foundation in organic or physical organic chemistry. Experience in computational chemistry, cheminformatics, catalyst design, or polymer chemistry is highly desirable. Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 108S Expected Hiring Range: $60,315.00 - $85,192.50 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
