Heavy Duty Mechanic – Prince Albert, SK $39–$50/hour + $5,000 New Hire Bonus + $5,000 Relocation Bonus First Student is hiring immediately in Prince Albert! Are you a Heavy Duty Mechanic looking for steady, year-round work close to home ? Join our Prince Albert maintenance team and become part of a local crew that keeps school buses and transit vehicles safely on the road. We’re looking for qualified Heavy Duty Mechanics in Prince Albert and throughout Saskatchewan. If you’re currently living elsewhere in Saskatchewan and are considering a move to Prince Albert, eligible candidates may qualify for a $5,000 relocation bonus. Why Work with First Student? - Stable, year-round employment What You'll Do As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you’ll help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the road.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on school buses and transit vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain and repair brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
- Complete work orders and documentation accurately
- Respond to mobile service calls when required
- Work as part of a safety-focused maintenance team What We're Looking For
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal) or equivalent experience
- Experience with diesel engines, commercial transport vehicles, or transit buses
- Own a basic mechanic’s tool set
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
