About the Role The Strategic Business Solution Analyst serves as a key link between business strategy, underwriting, claims, agents, and technology. The role is responsible for understanding business needs, identifying opportunities for process and system improvement, and helping design and implement practical solutions that support MutualONE’s strategic objectives. A significant component of the role will involve working directly within Cognition, MutualONE’s primary policy administration and business system. The Strategic Business Solution Analyst will help ensure that Cognition effectively supports business processes and that other key systems, integrate and communicate effectively with Cognition. Working closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, Underwriting, Claims, Agents, Information Technology, and external technology partners, the Strategic Business Solution Analyst will contribute to the ongoing development of MutualONE’s broader business development. The role also has an agent-facing component, providing training, Q&A support, process reviews, and ongoing guidance to help Agents effectively use MutualONE’s systems, processes, and underwriting tools. Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Analysis

• Work with the Chief Strategy Officer and business leaders to identify business needs, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Translate business objectives and operational challenges into clear business requirements and practical solutions.
• Analyze existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of business solutions.
• Act as a business subject-matter resource for strategic initiatives and technology projects.
• Help ensure that solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with MutualONE’s broader strategic direction.
• Work across departments to understand how changes to one business process or system may affect other areas of the organization.
• Work within Cognition to understand functionality, identify issues, develop business requirements, and support ongoing improvements. Identify opportunities to improve how Cognition supports Underwriting, Claims, Agents, and other business functions.
• Assess the downstream and upstream impacts of changes made within Cognition or connected systems. Underwriting Architecture & Integration
• Contribute to the development and ongoing evolution of MutualONE’s overall underwriting architecture, including ARS and the BMS
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies between systems and work with IT and vendors to develop solutions.
• Analyze the movement of information between ARS, the BMS, Cognition, and other supporting systems.
• Help define business rules and requirements for integrations and system enhancements.
• Participate in testing and validation to ensure information is accurately transferred between systems.
• Review proposed system changes from a business and underwriting perspective and identify potential impacts.
• Help establish and maintain clear documentation of system interactions, workflows, and business requirements. Agent Support, Training & Enablement
• Work directly with Agents to provide training, Q&A support, and guidance on systems, processes, and underwriting practices.
• Develop and maintain training materials, reference guides, and other resources to support Agents.
• Act as a key point of contact for Agent questions relating to underwriting processes, Cognition, ARS, the BMS, and other supporting systems.
• Gather feedback from Agents and translate recurring issues or suggestions into actionable improvements. Ongoing Business Process Improvement
• Review and document business processes across Underwriting, Claims, Agents, and supporting functions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or improve existing processes.
• Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to understand current-state processes and develop future-state solutions.
• Evaluate whether Cognition and connected systems are effectively supporting the desired business process.
• Support the development of process documentation, workflows, business rules, and operating procedures.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and recommend further improvements where required. What we offer
