About the role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Drafter manages a high-volume daily drawing queue and delivers accurate, production-ready CREO models, drawings, bills of materials, and documentation for Double E product lines. As Double E’s CREO subject-matter expert, this role applies advanced modeling, assembly, detailing, and drawing-management practices while partnering with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Quality, and Service. Success requires strong drafting judgment, close attention to detail, and the ability to balance speed, accuracy, manufacturability, revision control, and competing deadlines. What you’ll do:
- Create, revise, check, and release high-volume production drawings and 3D models in CREO.
- Prioritize the daily drawing queue to meet production, customer, and engineering deadlines.
- Serve as Double E’s CREO expert for modeling, assemblies, detailing, templates, and standards translating engineering concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable drawing packages.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, materials, notes, and bills of materials before release.
- Maintain CAD libraries, revisions, and technical files under document-control standards.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to resolve production and manufacturability issues.
- Improve drawing workflows and mentor team members in CREO and drafting standards. Requirements About you:
- Expert-level CREO skills in parts, assemblies, detailed drawings, and reusable configurations.
- Proven ability to manage high daily drawing volumes with accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at prioritizing competing requests.
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in drafting or mechanical design.
- Seven or more years of manufacturing drafting or design experience, including extensive CREO use.
- Web handling, converting, material handling, or machine design experience is preferred.
