Lead – Capex Controller

Responsibilities 1. Define capex budgeting framework, approval workflows and DOA compliance for capex spend. 2. Track commitments vs budgets; run periodic forecasting and variance analysis for capex lines. 3. Ensure WBS/CTC mapping and capex coding integrity in ERP/SAP; fix exceptions promptly. 4. Govern CWIP ageing, capitalization policies and timely transfer to fixed assets with documentation. 5. Maintain asset register integrity and run reconciliations; support audits and observation closures. 6. Align capex phasing to project milestones and funding drawdowns; manage end-use reporting. 7. Validate capex payment support documents; enforce controls and segregation of duties. 8. Publish capex MIS (utilization, ageing, capitalization status, risks) for leadership reviews. Qualifications Qualififcation Essential CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / B.Com from a recognized Indian institution; qualification to match role seniority. Desirable/Preferable CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) with exposure to real estate, project finance or treasury systems. Work Experience (Cumulative) Total Years (Band)-12-20 years Years (Relevant)-9-16 years Seniority (desirable)-Senior function leader Types of Organization-Large real estate / infrastructure / hospitality developers, project-led corporates, NBFC / treasury-heavy environments. Types of Sector-Real estate, construction, infrastructure, hospitality, mixed-use developments. Variety of experience-Budgeting, cash flow, project controls, audit/compliance, business partnering. Qualitative aspects-Should combine strong control orientation with commercial understanding. Exposure to multi-project, capex-intensive businesses is preferred.
