Job Description: Inline Drywall Illinois, Inc. is a union commercial drywall and carpentry contractor operating in the Chicago metropolitan area, self-performing metal stud framing, drywall, acoustic ceilings, rough and finish carpentry on ground-up and interior build-out commercial projects. The Estimator / Project Manager is a hybrid role responsible for both preparing competitive bid proposals and managing assigned projects through construction, providing full ownership of assigned work from initial bid through closeout. - Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare complete, competitive bid proposals for drywall and carpentry scopes
- Apply current CRCC wage and fringe benefit rates to labor estimates and solicit vendor/material pricing
- Transition awarded projects from estimate to execution, including buyout, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans in coordination with union Foremen
- Coordinate dispatch of union labor through the CRCC hiring hall as project needs require
- Track job costs, manage change orders, and prepare monthly billing (AIA G702/G703)
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and coordination with the general contractor, architect, and other trades
- Ensure compliance with the Company's safety program and applicable union agreements on active jobsites
- Maintain estimating and project documentation, including historical cost and productivity data What You Bring
- 3+ years of combined estimating and project management experience in commercial construction, drywall/carpentry scope preferred
- Working knowledge of union labor agreements, CRCC experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff, MS Project/Procore, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage competing priorities across preconstruction and active field operations
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 About The Company: Onni For over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
