Discipline Design Leader, POWER

• Lead end-to-end software projects from initiation through customer acceptance and project closure.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and control software development activities according to project objectives.
• Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage scope, budget, resources, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and project changes.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and AI agents to enhance project delivery efficiency, team productivity, and engineering workflows.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality targets.
• Drive issue resolution and escalation management. Software Development Lifecycle
• Manage projects throughout the complete Software Development Life Cycle.
• Understand embedded software constraints and integration with hardware.
• Coordinate activities across requirements engineering, software architecture, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and release.
• Ensure alignment between engineering activities and customer expectations. Customer Management
• Serve as the primary customer interface for project execution.
• Build strong relationships with customers.
• Lead customer meetings and steering committees.
• Present project status, milestones, risks, mitigation plans, and recovery actions.
• Manage customer expectations and negotiate priorities when required.
• Oversees large portfolios, define project governance , lead executive customer engagement , and drive organizational improvements Budget:
• Responsible for Project Budget execution: Execute the budget within the assigned project, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget and Discipline budget guidelines provided by the Engineering Manager of the entity. Support Operations:
• Responsible for Project Discipline QCD Management: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the [Discipline Name] discipline within the assigned project, adhering to standardized methodologies, [Discipline Name] project dashboard and KPIs defined by the Group/Division and followed by the [Discipline Name] Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader.
• Responsible for [Discipline Name] Technical Review execution and corrective action plan within the project.
• Drive design solutions & reuse within the assigned project. Competencies:
• Support [Discipline Name] Discipline QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Identify discipline issues in standard, method, tools, test means for ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in design execution
• Responsible for Project [Discipline Name] QRQC, ensuring management of the correction of major technical issues with the support of the entity [Discipline Name] engineering manager and the relevant [Discipline Name] Experts.
• Support [Discipline Name] Competency Development of the [Discipline Name] design team within the project. Efficiency:
• Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project. Collaboration and Influence:
• Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader: Maintain regular communication and alignment with the Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget performance, design execution, quality control, and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader: Work closely with the R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration of the [Discipline Name] design within the overall project plan, timeline, and technical specifications.
• Lead and Mentor Discipline Designers: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Discipline Designers working on the project, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. R= Responsible in charge of activities/ deliverable

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4-8 years of experience managing software development projects.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, organization, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent presentation and reporting skills.
