• Weekend Needs: As Scheduled Recruiter: Arianna Biondo Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team on a per‑diem basis. As a Per Diem Hospitalist APP , you’ll deliver safe, timely, compassionate care while working alongside experienced physicians and a collaborative clinical team. This role allows you to use your full clinical skill set while enjoying autonomy, teamwork, and the day‑to‑day variety that hospital medicine offers. What You’ll Do
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in coordination with Hospitalist physicians.
• Respond to nursing staff calls and manage changes in patient condition.
• Order and interpret labs, tests, and imaging.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Complete patient discharges, including summaries and follow‑up plans.
• Support patient flow in both the Emergency Department and inpatient units. What You Bring
• Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Experience in Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or acute care (preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.

• Master’s or Doctorate degree required.
• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State (or have the ability to obtain licensure).
• National certification from an approved certifying body is required: For Physician Assistants (PA):
• Completion of an ARC‑PA–accredited Physician Assistant program (or a predecessor program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs prior to January 2001).
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required. For Nurse Practitioners (NP):
• Completion of a master’s, post‑master’s, or doctoral nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
• Current national certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or an equivalent recognized certifying body is required. Compensation:
• Compensation rate: $77.30- $96.81/hr.
