This is a rare chance to join a category-defining company at the moment it's scaling globally. The Role We're hiring an Iberia Market Analyst to build Modo Energy's products for Spain and Portugal. Iberia is one of Europe's fastest-moving storage markets, and our customers rely on us to understand how batteries earn revenue there. This is a builder's role. You'll design the data workflows behind our Iberian coverage, build and ship benchmarks, and work with our European forecast team to shape the forecast product for both markets. You'll also help teach Ko, our AI analyst, to become the best source of answers on Iberia. We're looking for a generalist. You should be as comfortable automating a data pipeline as explaining a market to a customer, and you should enjoy turning messy data into products people use. Our coverage is battery energy storage, solar, wind and data centres, and we expect it to grow. You'll be part of the Iberia team, reporting to the Iberia Regional Head and working closely with engineering and the European forecasting team. What You'll Be Doing

• Build and automate the data workflows behind our Iberian coverage, from TSOs, NEMOs, and other sources.
• Build, maintain and ship Iberian benchmarks, working with engineering to deploy them to customers on the Modo Energy Terminal.
• Train Ko on Iberia: Improve how useful our AI model is to clients. Expose the right datasets, improve its answers, and deepen its market knowledge.
• Work with the European forecast team on the Spanish and Portuguese forecasts: fundamentals, market design, and how regulatory and market changes feed into the models.
• Maintain a grid-scale asset and capacity register for Spain and Portugal.
• Use AI to build tools and workflows that help you and the team scale.
• Contribute market insight through research and customer calls. What We're Looking For The Essentials
• You like building things, and you use AI to build tools and workflows.
• 2+ years of experience in power markets, energy analytics, data, or a technical analyst role.
• Strong programming skills. You can interrogate complex datasets and pick up new tools quickly.
• Familiarity with battery energy storage or wider energy transition themes.
• A generalist mindset: comfortable moving between data, product, and market questions.
• Clear written communication.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
• You're comfortable building products for a region from the ground up. Nice To Have
• Knowledge of Iberian electricity markets: OMIE day-ahead and intraday, REE balancing services (aFRR, mFRR, RR), and the capacity mechanism.
• Experience with data pipelines or workflow orchestration (e.g. Airflow, Dagster, dbt).
• Experience building data products or modelling tools, such as revenue models or dispatch optimisation.
