Work Shift Day (United States of America) Lead Environmental Services Full Time Days Position Overview The Lead Environmental Services Technician supports daily Environmental Services operations and serves as the shift lead in the supervisor's absence. This role ensures hospital areas remain clean, safe, and sanitary while coordinating staff assignments, leading huddles, training team members, and maintaining productivity standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead shift operations and coordinate labor based on facility needs.
- Conduct team huddles and assist with staff reassignments.
- Serve as a preceptor and trainer for new employees.
- Perform and oversee cleaning of:
- Patient rooms
- Operating rooms and surgical suites
- Emergency and inpatient areas
- Public and administrative spaces
- Inspect work areas to ensure quality standards are met.
- Reinforce infection prevention and HCAHPS-related practices.
- Order supplies, maintain inventory, and minimize waste.
- Promote excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational policies. Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of housekeeping/environmental services experience in:
- Healthcare
- Hospitality
- Class A commercial facilities Preferred Skills
- Leadership and team training experience.
- Ability to lead departmental huddles and coordinate staffing.
- Experience with terminal cleaning in OR, ER, and inpatient units.
- Knowledge of floor care and maintenance equipment.
- Inventory and supply ordering experience.
- Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments and handle exposure to hazardous and infectious materials.
