Accordingly, if you will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status this moratorium may affect our ability to employ you should you be selected as the final candidate. ________________________________________________________________________ Reporting directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Finance & Business Operations and indirectly to the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, the Business Coordinator II, under general supervision, provides support and coordination of a variety of business activities requiring independent judgment, including reviewing business documents and assisting in developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts and budget data. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA). Works normally Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm; or as business requirements indicate which may include afterhours, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Responsibilities: Budget Management & Oversight
- Assist in the development, monitoring, and reconciliation of departmental and team budgets
- Track revenues and expenditures to ensure alignment with institutional policies and allocated resources
- Identify variances and provide timely recommendations to address budget discrepancies
- Support annual budget planning cycles and mid-year projections
- Financial Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Assist in designing, maintaining, and enhancing a dynamic budget dashboard for Athletics leadership
- Produce regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc) that summarize key trends and insights
- Translate financial data into user-friendly formats for non-financial stakeholders
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems
- Procurement & ProCard Administration
- Oversee Purchasing Card (ProCard) usage, reconciliation, and compliance for department and assigned units
- Review and approve transactions to ensure adherence to institutional, state, and NCAA guidelines
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper purchasing procedures
- Serve as liaison with the institution’s finance office regarding procurement policies

- Ensure all financial activities comply with institutional, conference, NCAA policies, applicable regulations, and audit standards

- Collaborate with coaches and staff on budget planning, travel expenses, and purchasing needs
- Support contract tracking, vendor payments, and expense processing
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
- Administrative Support
- Assist in leading in all human resource aspects through recruiting, hiring, onboarding, offboarding and employee transition processes in the Athletics Department
- Coordinate position classification and reclassification requests with University Human Resources
- Provide guidance on employment offers, promotions, transfers, and succession planning
- Prepare reports, workforce analyses and presentations for senior leadership
- Ensure effective administration of departmental policies and procedures
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by the Director of Athletics or other senior personnel
- Serve as the primary liaison with University Huan Resources and other campus partners
- Performs other secondary duties as assigned. This position will require occasional travel, by automobile or airplane, and overnight stay to travel to training and meetings off campus. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others Compensation & Benefits Salary: Commensurate with experience Salary Range: The target base annual salary range is $44,000 up to $55,550.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
