Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Management

The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the AI for Management, a 4-credit course in Spring 2027 semester . This required MBA course prepares students first to lead the responsible adoption of AI, second to use AI effectively in their own work, and third to participate intelligently in the design of AI-enabled products and processes. The course provides a durable managerial foundation in how contemporary AI systems are trained and used, why they can produce fluent but wrong or unsafe results, and how evaluation and process controls reduce those risks. Students then apply that foundation to source-grounded research, data analysis, multimodal communication, specification-driven application building, workflow redesign, and enterprise implementation. Agentic AI is introduced early and examined in depth at a managerial level so that students can distinguish agents from fixed workflows and understand interactive, event-triggered, scheduled, proactive, tool-using, computer-using, transactional, single-agent, and multi-agent systems. The class meets for 1.5-hours, twice a week. Candidates with minimum qualification of doctoral (Ph.D.) degree along with relevant professional qualifications and experience with Agentic AI and no-code AI, machine learning and data science will be given preference. Compensation for this position between $10,00 to $12,000 depending on qualifications. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
