Summary About the Position: Responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and reviewing the allocation and utilization of buildings and facilities for accommodation of units, activities and individuals assigned to Fort Carson. Duties

• Coordinates with local USAGE PMs for any FF and E requirements associated with MILCON/MCA construction
• Perform all technical monitoring and assists in COR duties as required by contract: provides installation oversight, payment authorization, Government acceptance, and punch-list review/acceptance, and contract closeout.
• Represent DPW while conducting and attending meetings and briefings concerning all facets of facility utilization.
• Audit each building within the Installation to ensure the space management program is consistent with Installation, DA and IMCOM policy.
• Identify under/over utilized real property assets through the review of real property space surveys.
• Provide the Mobilization Planner with current space use data and serves as DPW Liaison on various projects internal and external to DPW.
• Report status and recommend changes to the Facility Reduction Program in support of the installation demolition program.
• Serve as the system administrator for the Enterprise Pro-active Real Property Interactive Space Management System (ePRISMS).
• Use various data entry army systems of record for daily tasking and services. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Inspecting and inventorying facilities for space management, mobilization planning or utilization planning as required 2) Analyzing reports to determine facility and building requirements; 3) Recommending priorities for allocation of new and additional space based on analysis of requests; 4) Conducting/attending meetings and briefings concerning all facets of facility utilization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Facilities Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
