About Freckle Freckle is the data and workflow layer for GTM teams. Users tell an agent in Claude, Codex or our app what they want, and Freckle builds and runs it: pulling lists, enriching them across dozens of data providers, scoring with AI agents, and writing results back to the CRM. We compete head to head with Clay and win, and Series A+ teams like Bolt.new run their GTM on us. The role You own the engine that runs every customer workflow: scheduling, queues, retries, provider integrations, and cost and reliability at scale. When a paying customer's run fails, it's your system and your fix. You'll be one of the first engineers and shape how the platform is built from here. What you'll do
- Own the workflow engine: scheduling, batching, idempotency, cancelling and retrying runs
- Build and harden integrations with dozens of data providers: rate limits, concurrency, failures, cost per call
- Make failures visible and cheap to fix: observability, alerting, cost per run
- Scale Postgres and Redis as volume grows
- Use coding agents heavily and own the judgment on what they produce You might be a fit if you
- Have built job systems, queues or data pipelines that ran in production at real volume
- Treat reliability and cost as product features
- Are pragmatic and autonomous, and don't need a curated task board Bonus: Effect or functional TypeScript, high-volume data infrastructure, or an early-stage startup behind you.
