How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen As a Kitchen Porter, you will support the delivery of a high-quality food service by maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout the kitchen operation. Working closely with chefs and the wider catering team, you'll help ensure a safe, efficient and compliant working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Wash, clean and sanitise crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen utensils efficiently.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment in accordance with company guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness across all kitchen areas, including floors, storage areas and waste zones.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Receive and store deliveries safely, ensuring correct stock rotation and storage practices.
• Manage waste disposal in line with company procedures and environmental standards.
• Complete cleaning schedules and records accurately and on time.
• Ensure all equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages promptly.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and infection prevention procedures.
• Report hazards, incidents or equipment faults immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen operation. Key Skills / Qualifications Essential
• Ability to work effectively within a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual and committed approach to work.
• Ability to follow processes, procedures and instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically capable of manual handling duties and standing for extended periods. Desirable
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or within a similar catering environment.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and food safety standards.
