Job Summary The Senior IT Engineer (Middleware / Integrations) designs, builds, operates, and continuously improves enterprise integration services that enable reliable data and process exchanges between business applications, platforms, and external partners. Integrated within a global team, the role ensures secure, performant, and resilient interfaces across multiple domains, supporting both project delivery and run activities. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Design integration solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Implement APIs, messaging, and batch interfaces using standard integration patterns.
- Define and maintain interface contracts, schemas, and versioning rules.
- Build data mappings and transformations with validation and error handling.
- Configure secure connectivity and authentication for internal and external integrations.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for integration components and releases.
- Monitor integration services and take action to ensure availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Manage changes and deployments with documented rollback and release controls.
- Maintain operational runbooks, support procedures, and interface documentation.
- Ensure logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting meet observability standards.
- Apply security controls including encryption, secrets handling, and certificate lifecycle management.
- Support capacity planning, resilience improvements, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Contribute reusable templates, standards, and best practices across the global team.
- Collaborate with architects, application teams, and partners to deliver end-to-end integrations. Core Competencies and Requirements Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Work Experience
- 5+ years in enterprise middleware/integration engineering delivering APIs, messaging/event-driven, and batch/file-based integrations.
- Strong production experience operating integration services (incident/problem/change/release) with high availability expectations.
- Hands-on experience with integration design (patterns, transformations, contracts/versioning) across multiple application domains. Technical / Language Skills
- Strong integration skills across APIs, messaging/event-driven flows, and batch/file-based interfaces, using standard patterns.
- Solid data handling skills
- Operational tooling skills: monitoring/alerting, logging/metrics/tracing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- English, additional languages are a plus. Core Competencies Required
